I often speak with business owners about their businesses and what lights them up. Its interesting when I find out that they have a split focus, in other words they are running more than one business.
I had this problem some years ago and through first hand experience found out that you really do have to have a strong single focus on one entity in order to make sure you are successful at it. In other words, get one right first and then go out and look for another. Get one systematised, procedurised and working without you before you spread your time too thin on the second.
When you have one eye firmly fixed on one business and then go out and spend focused tome on another, this is like comparing a filament light to a laser beam, you spread yourself too thin…..
